WEBISODE SERIES FEATURES VSP GLOBAL SPARK MAKEOVER PROGRAM
VSP Global Spark is a new optometric practice makeover program designed to help support and grow business for private practices. Its accompanying webisode series offers a variety of resources for eyecare professionals, including simple tips and techniques to implement their own cost-effective practice makeover.

practice of VSP providers Drs. Gary Yamada, Jill Yamada, and Matthew Nishio in Sacramento, CA. Their practice’s full transformation can be seen through the series, with new webisodes airing every two weeks and hosted by Steve Baker, President of Eyefinity®/OfficeMate®.

The first makeover utilized the products and services of VSP Global to execute the new look in one weekend, which to date, has significantly improved the practice’s overall profitability and success. The integrated makeover included an update from Eye Designs®, which outfitted the practice with new paint and furniture, bringing a warmer, more inviting experience to patients, and an enhanced dispensary with new merchandising displays. The practice also increased its choices in premium optical and sunwear and is now carrying Fendi and Karl Lagerfeld eyewear collections from Marchon® Eyewear, which also provided training to the staff about the products.

The staff also received training on sales strategies for anti-reflective (AR) lens treatments from VSP Optics Group, currently yielding a double digit increase in AR sales. In addition, Eyefinity/OfficeMate updated the practice’s Web site, utilizing the eWeb Extra solution to customize the Web site and add online appointment scheduling capability, resulting in increased convenience and efficiency for both patients and the practice.
